Can I claim CPD points by attending a Mental Health First Aid course?

The 12-hour Standard MHFA course has been endorsed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, by the following professional bodies:

Australian College of Nursing Australian College of Nursing
(Currently under renewal)

This workshop is endorsed by ACN according to our Continuing Professional Development Endorsed Course Standards. It has been allocated 5.5 CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard.

Australian Pharmacy Council

Accreditation number: CX150034 This activity has been accredited for 12 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 24 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan.

Accreditation number: CX150035 This activity has been accredited for 9 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 18 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan

College of Mental Health Nurses
(Valid until 20th August 2017)

Successful completion of the Standard Mental Health First Aid course earns 12 CMHN continuing professional education (CPE) points.

 

Australian College of Midwives

(Valid until 22nd August 2018) 

12 CPD Points has been approved for midwives who complete this activity.
Australian Practice Nurses Association

Currently under renewal)

This activity has been endorsed by APNA according to approved criteria. Completion of this educational activity entitles eligible participants to claim 12 CPD hours.

Australian Physiotherapy Association
(Currently under renewal)

This activity has been approved for Interim Accreditation by the Australian Physiotherapy Association and each participant will be able to accrue one hour of CPD for each hour attended of this course.

Chiropractor’s Association of Australia

This program has been assessed by the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia (National) Ltd, on behalf of the Chiropractic Board of Australia, and allocated 12 Formal Learning Activity Hours.
