Can I claim CPD points by attending a Mental Health First Aid course?

The 12-hour Standard MHFA course has been endorsed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, by the following professional bodies:

   

Australian Pharmacy Council

Accreditation number: CX150034 This activity has been accredited for 12 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 24 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan.

Accreditation number: CX150035 This activity has been accredited for 9 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 18 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan

(Valid until 20th August 2017)

Successful completion of the Standard Mental Health First Aid course earns 12 CMHN continuing professional education (CPE) points.

 

Australian College of Midwives

(Valid until 22nd August 2018) 

12 CPD Points has been approved for midwives who complete this activity.
   
   
   

In addition, for the following professionals, if a relevant CPD learning goal can be met by a Mental Health First Aid course, course attendance can be claimed as continuing professional development (CPD) by:

  • Psychologists
  • Social Workers
  • Teachers
  • Dieticians
  • Speech Pathologists
  • Audiologists and audiometrists
  • Lawyers in some states and territories of Australia
  • Orthotists and Prosthetists
